Executive Quality, Relaxed Lifestyle - Home Staging in Paynesville

Case Study

This stand out home of David and Trish in Paynesville already had plenty to offer prospective buyers including an architecturally designed building, hardwood floors and stacks of extras.  But the owners wanted to fine-tune the decor in readiness to present the home for sale in its best possible light.

They engaged my services to help envisage and deliver a cohesive style which would showcase the home’s features.  With a focus on the wonderful lifestyle that Paynesville and this home had to offer prospective buyers, we selected a natural colour palette and style; opting for decor items in white, blue, green and brown, utilising wood, glass and other natural materials with a nod to nautical and natural themes.

We focused much of our efforts on one of the two Master Bedroom suites, which was somewhat bare to begin with.  It was important that we showcased this significantly large space, using furniture to demonstrate the proportions of the room plus bedding and decor items to add a sense of luxury.   A mood board was created (above) to develop the design direction for the space, which then influenced other areas of the home.

The addition of a chair and bench seat shows the generous proportions of this room.  Gender neutral bedding in calm colours created a luxurious space to attract people with a wide range of tastes.

We sourced furniture and decor items both locally and in Melbourne.  Trish and David made the trip to the city with an itemised shopping list provided by me, which made their shopping experience far quicker and easier than they had anticipated.  I took Trish on 2 guided personal shopping trips around stores in Bairnsdale. We finished off the decor with several beautiful artificial floral arrangements from a local florist.

Changing the bed frames in bedroom 4 so that they matched, and adding a chest of drawers, art, lamps, pillows and decor items really lifted this room and made it feel more put together, loved and inviting.

Trish and David were thrilled with the outcome!

In the media room, wires were tidied up, glass shelves were added to the niches plus a coffee table and white decor items added.

Thank you Trish and David for inviting me to be a part of this project.  I wish you all the best with your new direction!
